For this assignment, you will create project goals and scope, the first of the key components of a Project Management Plan, by identifying a problem in your community, an issue in a healthcare organization you currently work for or are affiliated with, or select a project topic from case studies from the Institute for Health Improvement.
Be sure to address the following:
- Provide a brief background of the problem
- Offer the rationale for choosing the topic or case study
- Describe the need to apply a project management approach to solve the problem
- Discuss the pros and cons of applying this project management approach to this problem, and
- Describe the project goals and scope
It is recommended that you use the project management plan template as a guide that is attached. You will also use this template for your Week 2 and Week 8 assignments.
